Hope For The Future.

No doubt most of what we see and hear these days is bad news. The Democrat policies since 2020 have inundated our country, and the World, with miserable conditions ranging from fake and treasonous presidential persecutions and impeachments, covid policies that have damaged children, abandoned seniors and compromised everyone’s health, out of control inflation and chaos on our campuses, and international warfare heading to worldwide conflagration.

BUT…all is not lost. I have been introduced to a fabulous group of courageous and patriotic young people who call themselves The American Conservative Youth Union.

From their website, theacyu.com:

An origin Shakespearean in both its flaws and attributes

The American Conservative Youth Union (ACYU) is a national non-profit organization dedicated to promoting traditional American values and advocating for change. We believe in the importance of strong national defense, limited government, personal responsibility, and individual liberty.

The ACYU was founded in 2018 by then eighth graders who learned they must both stand up for Conservative values and get students involved in Conservative civics and the political movement. The founders, now heading to college will be growing the movement in Ohio and across several states. The ACYU National HQ is located in The Old Farmers Bank at 19 West Main Street, Unit Four, Ashland, Ohio 44805.

The ACYU has a background starting civic student groups in high schools and universities where the school administrations do not want them to meet. Its home chapter, at Medina High School took four years and one lawsuit in order to meet as the Medina County Conservative Youth Union at Medina High School. Many students face challenges from their schools against their constitutional rights, but we are here to inform them of their rights. Students have rights within their schools and their rights “do not end at the schoolhouse door”. However, their rights are only as strong as the students know them. It is our goal to advocate for and advance their rights in our public high schools. We do this by having seminars, inviting people to conferences and teaching students to think for themselves.

An example of a recent project was to work with Medina High School to re-introduce The Pledge of Allegiance to the daily regimen. Each of the members can speak to personal experience where they have faced pushback and even censure for advancing their conservative values.

Please visit their website and support their efforts as best you can, because these young patriots are our future.
